A drug test is usually conducted by most institutions to be able to detect drug dependence of a person. Most companies require drug testing as part of the screening process for new employees; it is a must when obtaining a driver’s license; some universities require drug testing before admitting students; police investigations use drug testing in solving cases; custody battles are sometimes concluded by a result of a simple drug test. In fact, ever since they were introduced to society, countless crimes have been committed by people under their influence. Countless lives have also been taken because of them. Almost all people would agree that drug abuse, drug trafficking, and drug addiction are fast becoming one of the worse problems anywhere in the world. Drugs cause a lot of heartbreak to both the individual abusing it and to his or her loved ones. Not only that, drugs are also a source of crimes, both petty and not. Drugs are really social pariahs that should really be eradicated because of the seemingly countless negative effects that they bring.
